Extreme Jacket

Montane · £185

A moss-green heavyweight insulated jacket with a hood, shown from the front.

Worth being NRY provisional

A kilo of recycled nylon, built for cold and wet and relentless conditions; a working jacket rather than a light one, and the weight is the point. Montane state it plainly: cold, wet, and relentlessly demanding conditions. At £185 it is a fraction of what a technical shell costs and it is doing a different job, keeping you warm and moving rather than bone dry.

Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
