Humbie Raintec Mid Length Hooded Coat
Mackintosh · £795

Nice, but provisional
Raintec is a bonded cotton that keeps the rain out while hanging like a coat rather than a shell, which is the whole point of a Mackintosh and what £795 buys that a technical jacket cannot. Wide A-line cut, fixed hood, rivets at the pockets. One owner reports a seam opening inside three years and being asked to pay to send it to Scotland to be looked at, which is a single account, but at this price how it gets repaired matters as much as how it was made.

Marked provisional: a claim the justification rests on is low confidence. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
